The staff  of Santeodoro.it makes a trip in Porto Cervo – Sardinia!

With a group of friends decided to rent a van in the company of our friend Marcello, the driver of the Beach Bus, to visit one of the most beautiful places of the Costa Smeralda … We left San Teodoro at 20.00.
During the trip Marcello entertained us by telling us some curiosity on the spot, he knows very well having worked for many years in the area.
As we chatted, the ‘other after an’ hour or so we arrive in Costa Smeralda, and here you can not miss the photo with the famous rock that introduces you in the fantastic Costa.

As you climb you get to see the sea, the huge yachts lit in the sea and Porto Rotondo from above. Porto Rotondo is a tourist village that has as a reference point an equipped port with the availability of 800 berths.

Around the initial structure, initiated in 1964 by the Venetians and Luigi and Nicolò Donà dalle Rose, as part of an initiative commissioned by a group of entrepreneurs including Vittorio Cini and the English banker George Frank, they were realized timeshare, residences and villas during the summer, welcome 20,000 guests with a peak of 32,000 in August. For the rest of the year the district records a fixture than a thousand residents. It is clear that the architecture of Porto Rotondo tracings structure of Venice, not surprisingly the main square was named Piazzetta San Marco.

After a few minutes you arrive in Porto Cervo. Born in the 60’s as a small fishing village found today to be the pearl of luxury tourism in Sardinia. To implement this radical transformation was Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, who was fascinated by the beauty of this coastline of Gallura, he decided to buy the poor and uncultivable lands and, together with the Swiss-French designer Jacques Couelle, then assisted by the architect Luigi Vietti, gave life to the elite international tourism paradise we know today. In 1967 it was founded the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, while in the eighties began work on the construction of new port, much more spacious and equipped.
The village is built around a deep natural harbor, whose shape resembles that of a deer, while luxury hotels and villas are located just outside.

The first thing that strikes just off the coaches are definitely huge yacth anchored at the port.
Their grandeur is breathtaking, you can take a scenic tour of the harbor to admire them closely, and take some pictures!

After the walk near the harbor we move into the village that is spread around the rooftop terrace of the famous Piazzetta and the Church of Stella Maris where we find small streets with boutiques of the most luxurious brands, fashion jewelers and restaurants. The architecture of the country, in pastel tones, reminiscent of the typical Gallura and Porto Cervo makes a real postcard view.

As for entertainment there are many exclusive clubs such as Ritual nightclub, entirely dug into the rock, the Sottovento club and the famous Bilionaire Flavio Briatore.
Not far from Porto Cervo you will find some of the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda like that of Portisco, Cala Granu, the beach of the Pevero, Cala di Volpe, Cala del Faro, the Romazzino beach, the beach of the Prince and other small beaches and coves.

The tour in Porto Cervo can not miss in your vacation! The tour is recommended for all, young people, families with children and couples. The visit can be done both by day and night!
